Naomi Cooke Johnson is pregnant with Baby No. 2.
The solo artist and former lead singer of Runaway June made her pregnancy announcement when she joined brothers Dan and Reid Isbell on a newly-premiered episode of God’s Country on Tuesday (September 23). Cooke Johnson shared on the podcast, “I’m happy because I’m having a baby, another baby. I’m pregnant! So happy. …Round two. What a gift.”
Cooke Johnson and her husband, Martin Johnson, frontman of The Night Game and Boys Like Girls, welcomed Baby No. 1 in 2023. She previously spoke about her birth story on an episode of Get Real with Caroline Hobby earlier this year, and spoke about her pregnancy with Baby No. 1 again on a bonus episode of that show. Cooke Johnson shared with the Isbell brothers, “we have a little girl. She just turned 2, and she’s the best ever. …[Johnson] is the best girl dad in the world. He’s like, you know, this tough rock n’ roll guy with all these tattoos and his little girl, they’re watching Cinderella yesterday.” Throughout the conversation, she also spoke about “her journey of navigating motherhood in the music industry and how she feels her nomadic upbringing prepared her best for this life,” growing up with her nine siblings on a school bus, and more.
