Lauren Alaina recently revealed what inspired her to write "My Old Man," an unreleased single recorded specifically for her wedding day. The sparkling standout took to social media to share footage with fans, highlighting one moment that was so special that she wrote an entire song for the occasion. Alaina has yet to release the full track, but gave fans an exclusive listening opportunity (paired with a sentimental compilation of moments from the big day) on Thursday, February 22nd.

"I wrote this song for my daddy for our daddy/daughter dance. It was such a special moment during our wedding. I will truly never forget it." The lyrics paint an idyllic picture of Alaina's partner befriending her father, proving that he was the one for her.

“I knew I found the one when they became best friends. My good ole boy and My Old Man.”

The post had followers in tears as sweet father-daughter moments flashed across the screen. Alaina married husband Cam Arnold earlier this month during a large ceremony held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

On February 13, the "Road Less Traveled" hitmaker told fans that she knew that she had married her best friend by the way he calmed her nerves before the ceremony.

"This is how you know you’re marrying your best friend… We didn’t do a first look and I got so nervous so I had them go get him and turn his back to me just so I could talk to him."

After a busy, beautiful month of writing tear-jerking, daddy-daughter ballads and tying the knot, Alaina is scheduled to take the stage overseas in Rotterdam, Netherlands on March 2nd before heading to the United Kingdom for a string of shows.
