Dylan Scott will cancel a few of his upcoming shows because of doctors orders, the “New Truck” star announced in a statement on Thursday (August 17).

Scott was set to perform in Kansas City, Missouri, though the show will be pushed back to another date this month. Two other events — in Watertown, South Dakota and in East Grand Forks, Minnesota — will be cancelled, he said in a message shared on his social media channels.

“Hey guys — cancelling shows is never something I want to do but with doctor’s orders I cannot perform this weekend,” the “Can't Have Mine (Find You A Girl)” artist said in his statement, along with info for anyone who had tickets to the shows. “Kansas City — we will be rescheduling tonight’s show two weeks from now to 08/31. Unfortunately, my appearances on the following two shows are cancelled: 08/18 Watertown, SD (and) 08/19 East Grand Forks, MN. If you had tickets to any of these shows, more information will be coming to you directly from each venue. I am so sorry but thank you guys for understanding!”

Following this weekend, Scotts next show is set for Petoskey, Michigan on Wednesday (August 23).
