Valley TechCon.23 set for May 25th

Valley TechCon is coming back! After a 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Valley TechCon.23 will be held Thursday, May 25th at Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Valley Conference Center.

This full day conference seeks to bring together technology enthusiasts, practitioners, researchers, and business leaders to facilitate idea sharing, collaboration, and innovation. The conference offers a wide variety of topics that vary from technical presentations to using technology to improve your business. Breakout sessions are divided into three categories: Technical Topics for Practitioners, The Business Impact of Technology, and Growing Your Technology Business. The conference will kick-off with a breakfast keynote from Monica Logothetis, Senior Advisor, Innovation Office of the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education.

The goal is to inspire new ideas, improve business efficiency with emerging technologies, springboard new ventures, and expand networking opportunities. “TechCon is a great opportunity to bring together the Shenandoah Valley’s diverse technology crowd. But it’s certainly not only for techies. Thanks to an agenda filled with a wide variety of topics, folks can hear from great speakers, learn something new, and do some valuable networking,” Harrisonburg Economic Development Assistant Director Peirce Macgill said.

Valley TechCon was launched in 2018 by a partnership between Harrisonburg Economic Development, Shenandoah Valley Technology Council, JMU’s Office of Technology Innovation and Economic Development, and Blue Ridge Community College. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit valleytechcon.com.
