Mickey Guyton Tells Others 'Stay Well' As She Tests Positive For COVID-19

After more than two years in a global pandemic, Mickey Guyton said she tested positive for COVID-19 for the first time. The “Remember Her Name” artist took to her social media channels to make the announcement on Thursday (June 2).

“After 2 1/2 years of dodging this virus, Covid has finally hit my doorstep,” Guyton wrote in her statement on Thursday. “I was SO looking forward to playing the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on Saturday, but unfortunately, I’ve tested positive for Covid. It’s going to be such an amazing weekend and I can’t believe I have to miss it. Hope to make it back soon, but until then, stay well!!” She signed the statement with her name and a red heart emoji at the end.

Guyton’s statement prompted a flood of well-wishes from fans and fellow artists. Shania Twain wrote, “Oh no! Take it easy 😘😘,” in a comment on Instagram.
