A Pennsylvania man got dealt a really bad hand by a judge who convicted him of disorderly conduct -- for using his hand to make a gesture that mimicked a gun.
Stephen Kirchner used his thumb and index finger to create the familiar shape, and pointed his hand at a neighbor, who called 911 saying he felt "threatened" by the incident. Cops responded to the scene and took a report, which the neighbor insisted on following up in court.
The 64-year-old Kirchner said there was "no danger to the victim or to society," but a judge disagreed, ruling that the finger-pointing “risked an altercation” and constituted a crime. Kirchner will have to pay a $100 fine, along with court costs. (WGAL-TV)
