Harrisonburg, Virginia, March 30th, 2024 – Houston Bowman Progressive Agriculture annual farm safety day event is coming up. Plan for a free, fun-filled day of learning. Children in the 3rd –8th grades are welcome to attend this event.
Topics for demonstration and discussion include powerline safety, blind spot recognition, skid loader safety, silage safety, water safety, hearing safety, prosthetics, firearms safety and working with large farm animals. These topics and activities will help provide our youth with education and understanding of how to keep our farms and rural areas safe for themselves and others. Lunch will be provided, and goody bags will be sent home with participating youth.
